There are lots of convenience stores in Shanghai. They are almost everywhere in our city: at the street corner, near the bus stop, in a metro station or airport, inside an office building and residence community. Now they are becoming the necessity of our city.

But they are different from big supermarkets, they are small and open 24 hours. Their goods are expensive in comparison with the same thing in the big market. They also have not many goods in the store. However, the amounts of the convenience store are highly increasing now.

They have their advantages. Except for convenience, the store also provides people with good service in many details about what big markets could not satisfy customers. Just as following listed:
 1 The convenience store usually is clean and tidy, everything looks in good order. It's a comfortable place for people to have a rest.
 2 There are all kinds of goods. Especially, the stores have abundant food, snack, beverage. People could have their breakfast, lunch, dinner in the store. The convenience store usually has an eating area inside, they also afford chair and table there, you could sit and eat food what you bought in the store, it just like you are eating in the canteen.
3 There are warmly welcomed attendants. I don't mean that they are only sellers or cashiers. Because they really provide your service. For example, they could heat milk and fast food for you, allow you to use their microwave oven, they are willing to pour a cup of coffee and make ice cream for you.

These are some merits of the convenience store which caused people like them. In Shanghai, they are Family Mart, 7-11, Lawson. People love them not only for convenience, but they also provide us with psychology console and heart peace. We live in an intense metropolis, and we have high stress here. Sometimes we could not flee away immediately and relax completely, at least we could have a brief break in the convenience store, before, during, or after work.
